Email [email protected] and include a short description of the issue, your iPhone model, and your iOS version. Do not send your password or a password-reset link.

Account Help

Use the email address associated with your Ballista account when signing in. If you cannot sign in, first confirm that your email is verified, then try a password reset. Include the exact on-screen message when contacting support, but never include your password.

Password Reset

From the sign-in screen, choose “Forgot password?”, enter your Ballista account email, and send the reset link. Open the link on the iPhone with Ballista installed, choose a new password in the app, confirm it, and select “Update Password.” If the link is invalid or expired, request a new one from the app.

Email Verification

After signing up, open the verification email sent to your account address. If it does not arrive, check spam or junk mail, confirm the address was entered correctly, and use the app’s resend option. The resend button may briefly pause between requests.

Account Deletion

In the app, go to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. Review the deletion details, choose whether to also delete local hit data from that iPhone, type DELETE to confirm, and select “Delete Account.”

This permanently deletes the Ballista sign-in and its cloud account, profile, player, and hit data. Local saved hits, images, analysis files, and offline data are removed only if you select the local-data option. Signing out does not delete the account or its local hits.

App Setup

• Use a stable tripod with the iPhone in landscape orientation.
• Place the phone beside the hitter, safely away from the bat and ball.
• Keep the baseball, tee, and early flight path visible in a clear side view.
• Use bright, even lighting so the baseball is easy to see.
• Reframe and recalibrate after moving the phone or tripod, changing lenses, or rotating the phone.

Camera and Microphone Permissions

Ballista requests camera access when camera setup opens. Camera access is required to record and analyze a hit. If access was denied, open iPhone Settings, find Ballista, and enable Camera.

Microphone access is requested only if you choose to arm Audio Trigger. Audio Trigger can help mark a possible hit from sound; raw microphone audio is not saved. You can use “Mark Hit” as the no-microphone fallback. If needed, microphone access can also be changed in iPhone Settings under Ballista.

Recording Your First Hit

• Set the iPhone on a stable tripod and frame the tee and early ball flight.
• Open camera setup and allow camera access.
• Place a baseball on the tee and confirm it is clearly visible.
• Use Mark Hit, or arm Audio Trigger if you have enabled microphone access.
• Hit the ball, then wait for Ballista to save and analyze the recording.
• Review the completed hit in History.

Understanding EV, LA, and Distance

EV (Exit Velocity) is the estimated speed of the baseball just after contact.

LA (Launch Angle) is the estimated vertical angle of the ball’s early flight after contact.

Projected Distance is an estimated carry distance based on the measured flight.

These values are video-analysis estimates, not certified radar readings. Camera position, calibration, lighting, frame visibility, and the captured flight path affect results. If Ballista cannot verify calibration for a hit, real-world EV and projected distance may be unavailable.
